Very hot vintage! No problems in the vineyards and a very nice start to this production. It was quite evenly hot during the summer resulting in a quick but steady maturation of the grapes. Just at the end there was also some rainfall so it was quite easy to decide the correct date to harvest this first vintage, 6th September (roughly one week after the rain).

The grapes were slightly low in acidity and with high sugar content due to the hot summer. This makes a powerful vintage that will be very well balanced already in its early stage of its life. We expect delivery in around 2027 but it´s almost sold out already.

Nice spring with no problems with frost in the in the vineyards. The summer came and it was quite cold and it looked like it would be a difficult vintage to get good maturation of the grapes. Thankfully as we were approaching harvest time it was really hot and dry for two weeks, so the harvest was postponed almost a week from the anticipated date. We harvested 10th September.

There was some heavy rain coming in after the hot weather, so we had to quickly decide if to harvest before or after this big rainfall. in the end we decided to harvest before the rain. This resulted in slightly higher acidity but also good maturation in the in the grape.

Due to the nice acidity in the wine, we even did a few barrels with malolactic fermentation for this vintage. Thereby we soften it and rounded off a bit and this will be a vintage that will store better for long time in the cellar.
